Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF-α)

There are two subtypes constituting tumor necrosis factor (TNF), α and β, with similar biological actions. The most frequently researched is TNF-α among these, also known as TNF, cachectin, macrophage cytotoxic factor, macrophage cytotoxin, or necrosin. Produced in Escherichia coli (E. coli), recombinant TNF has been approved as adjuvant for oncological surgery.

Application of TNF-α
Recombinant TNF-α-1a

Containing the active substance tasonermin (TNF-α-1, a tumor necrosis factor alfa-1a), Beromun is produced by recombinant DNA technology in E. coli. This is a drug known as an immunostimulant that helps the body's immune system combat cancer cells.
